The CEO will be responsible for the delivery of the sport development priorities of Netball Fiji including the execution of its Strategic Plan and the planning and delivery of the Official Development Assistance Program Work Plan. The CEO will report to the Executives of Netball Fiji and will prepare regular progress reports on the Work Plan implementation.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills required
- Fiji resident
- A Degree in Business Management.
- 5+ years Senior Management experience with financial, and commercial background
- Understanding of Sports Administration and Development
- Extensive knowledge of reporting, budgeting, grant and funding application writing
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects
- The ability to work and communicate with a range of stakeholders.
- Understanding of governance and demonstrated ability to work effectively with an Executive Board.
- The ability to work independently.
This is a full-time role based at the NETBALL FIJI Office in Suva. Some local and international travel is required in this role.

HEAD COACH
If you are an experienced, accredited, and passionate high-performance professional ready to lead the Fiji Netball Program as the Head Coach then this role is for you.
Based primarily in Suva, the Head Coach will lead the overall development and implementation of the NETBALL FIJI High Performance Program. The position will manage the development and implementation of all areas of player and team performance of the Fiji Pearls and oversee the team’s underpinning program.
The Program is primarily aimed at achieving the following goals:
- Identifying, developing, and working with talented netball athletes to prepare them for elite-level competition and ultimately international success.
- Developing and Implementing a national development program that will enhance the skills and knowledge of athletes and coaches.
- Identifying and providing guidance to talented coaches within NETBALL FIJI affiliates
- Working with NETBALL FIJI to ensure the program complements the Government’s initiative to lift the level of the sport in Fiji.
To ensure success in this role, you will have coached at International level, have demonstrated experience working with elite athletes and coaches, including devising and implementing successful programs, as well as a thorough knowledge and understanding of the high-performance requirements for athletes to aspire to and succeed at the highest international level.
To complement your experience, you will also need to possess proven leadership and decision-making skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and sound organizational and planning skills.

SPORT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
If you are interested in promoting the growth and development of officials, athletes, teams, and pathways in netball then we have a role for you as our Sport Development Coordinator.
Key responsibilities
- Program Development: Developing and implementing sports programs that align with the goals and objectives of the Netball Fiji. This may involve conducting research, identifying target audiences, and designing appropriate initiatives.
- Event Organization: Planning and coordinating sports events, from local tournaments to international competitions. This may involve managing logistics, securing sponsorships, and ensuring a seamless experience for participants and spectators.
- Community Engagement: Building relationships with community partners, schools, and local organizations to promote sports participation and engage the wider community.
- Support Talent Identification Program: Identifying and nurturing talented athletes at various levels, from grassroots to elite. This may involve scouting, talent identification camps, and talent development programs.
Qualifications, experience and skills required
- Have a passion for Netball
- Degree in Sport Development/ Physical Education, or related field or equivalent. Qualifications/ Licenses such as Coaching and Umpiring are an added advantage.
- Knowledge of grassroots netball and development in and around Fiji
- Knowledge of Sports Management: A strong understanding of sports management principles, including development pathways, event management, and program planning.
- Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with athletes, technical officials, coaches, stakeholders, and the wider community. Strong leadership abilities are also crucial to inspire and motivate others.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
- Networking and Relationship Building: Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sports organizations, sponsors, and community partners, to leverage resources and support for sports development initiatives.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: The capacity to analyze complex situations, identify challenges, and make informed decisions to overcome obstacles and achieve desired outcomes.
- Proficient knowledge with Microsoft packages
- Must hold a current driver’s license.
The role will be based in Suva at the NETBALL FIJI Office. Some domestic and international travel is expected.
Remuneration
This is a full-time position for a term of 3 years.
Salary Range: AUD$23k to AUD$25k per annum

SPORT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
If you are interested in assisting with promoting the growth and development of officials, athletes, teams, and pathways in netball then we have a role for you as our Sport Development Officer.
Reporting to the Sports Development Coordinator you will assist with the implementation of development plans for Netball Fiji.
Key responsibilities
- Liaison with districts, schools and institutions on general netball development matters.
- Maintenance of database of netball districts, clubs, athletes, sport administrators and sport technicians.
- Ensure existence of clear plans for talent scouting and development.
- Provide support in facilitating the National Teams’ participation in international competitions
- Timely preparation of required reports.
- Provide timely support for office administration matters
Qualifications and Skills required
- A passion for Netball
- Diploma in Sport Development/ Physical Education, or related field or equivalent. Qualifications/ Licenses such as Coaching and Umpiring are an added advantage.
- Must hold a current driver’s license.
- Be a self-starter
- Communicate well
- Communication and Analytical skills.
- Leadership skills
- Proficient knowledge with Microsoft packages
- Be able to work flexible hours, over weekends and on public holidays.
- Relationship management.
