Netball Fiji held its AGM last weekend at the Tanoa Plaza conference room in Suva.
The AGM was attended by a total of 14 netball associations across Fiji, including the minor district association.
The AGM looked at various agenda including high performance, development pathways, levies, coaching platforms and a remit calling for a SGM to review the constitution.
Netball Fiji President Mrs. RubyAnn Sorovaki emphasized the importance of the member association having their voices heard at the table as there were a lot of discussions and sharing of ideas on important matters regarding the sport.
Issues were also questioned by districts including levies, development and the review of the constitution.
“An important part was information sharing which I think is becoming a major issue with us and we all agreed,” she said.
“We need to be collaborating and communicating a bit more in terms of what is happening in the space of Netball Fiji and ensuring that our districts are kept up to date.
Presidents and council members also discussed matters on development programs, Fiji Pearls performance, and actions that needed to be done to change the dynamics around.
“There is a lot of work to be done in that space but it’s not going to be resolved overnight, said Mrs. Sorovaki.
Netball Fiji’s audited financial report was also among the agenda passed at the AGM.
