Youth Championship is the inaugural national age grade tournament where age grade teams from all Netball Associations across the country take part in.
This tournament is an exciting addition to the Netball Fiji calendar. Men’s netball is fast-paced and thrilling to watch. Teams are from member districts that fight it out on the netball court to be declared champion.
The Super League is the country’s biggest(Tier 1) domestic competition consisting of 6 major netball districts – Suva, Nasinu, Lautoka, Nadi, Nadroga and Tailevu. Each district will have 1 elite team competing in a 6- week round robin league followed by 1 week of final games. Netball Fiji has approximately 20,000 players, supported by their families, friends and patron. All national team squad members will participate in the Super League. Netball Fiji would like to partner with Vinod Patel to be the major sponsor of the Super League Championship.
The Vanua Challenge is Netball Fiji’s inaugural Netball challenge that engages teams from all across the country and from the maritime zone.
The Super Club is a two days tournament that engages the top two clubs from all Netball Fiji member Associations.
This is the national finals of the primary and secondary school competitions – they are the largest netball events in the country. Schools are divided into 16 zones around the country. These zones have regular weekly competitions to determine the zone champions. These champions then compete at the national championship to determine the national schools champion. In the Primary Schools competition there are 6 grades – U9, U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14. In the Secondary Schools competition there are also 6 grades – 14&U, 15&U, 17&U, 19&U, Girls Open and Boys Open.
The premier event on the Fiji Netball calendar. It is where all member districts compete over 3 days to be national champion. There are four grades: Premier Women’s (for major associations), Premier Men’s (for all associations with men’s competitions), Senior (for island and minor associations) and an age grade – either at 18U, 19U, 20U or 21U (for all associations).
FAST5 is Netball Fiji’s inaugural competition where teams from all member districts will take part in. Fast 5 is similar to 7’s in rugby, it’s netball like you’ve never seen before; featuring dynamic rules changes including five players a side, shorter quarters, power plays and super shots.Fast5 matches are played on a Netball court with an additional semicircle of radius 2.5 m (8.2 ft) marked inside the goal circle (centre at the mid-point of the outer edge of the goal line).A match consists of four quarters each of 6 minutes playing duration, with an interval of 1 minute between the first-second and third-fourth quarters.
