Fiji Men’s netball is set to host an international men’s netball tournament at the Vodafone Arena from August 4–8, featuring Aotearoa Men’s and Tonga Netball Men’s teams.
The tournament will see Fiji Men’s, Fiji A, Tonga National Men’s Team, and the Aotearoa Net Blacks go head-to-head in a five-day competition.
Men’s netball enthusiasts in the country can look forward to some live and exciting actions at the tournament, while excitement also builds following World Netball’s recent announcement of an upcoming Men’s Netball World Cup.
“We are absolutely determined to be part of the first Men’s Netball World Cup, and this tournament is a critical step in that journey,” Netball Fiji President Mrs. RubyAnn Sorovaki said.
“Not only are we showcasing the talent in the region, but we are also building momentum and unity among Pacific men’s netball teams.”
The inclusion of the NZMMNA Net Blacks, a dominant force in men’s and mixed netball, adds a high level of international reputation to the event.
Fans can expect fast-paced, high-skill and an intense matchup throughout the week.
The event is also a celebration of netball’s growing inclusivity and a major milestone for the men’s netball in the Pacific.
