The Punjas Digicel Secondary Schools Netball Finals is scheduled to take place on the 21st – 23rd August where around approximately 80 schools will be participating.
The Secondary Schools Netball Finals will include 18 zones from around Fiji. Fiji Secondary Schools Netball President Mrs Karalaini Seruiratu is thankful to the two sponsors Punjas and Digicel for their ongoing support towards netball in Fiji, and helping develop the grassroots netball.
Netball Fiji CEO Vivian Koster says, “The Fiji Secondary Schools Netball Finals has always been an exciting competition and this year will be no less the same. It is especially encouraging when we see players from across Fiji, and possibly unearth an exciting player to watch. It is an opportunity to scout for players for the National Academy and the 21&Under squad.”
Adi Cakobau School and Suva Grammar is the defending Under 14 champions, for U15 Jasper William High School and Rotorua Girls High School from New Zealand are the defending champions and in U17 ACS and Suva Grammar School and U19 Natabua and ACS is the defending champions.
Nabala Secondary School and ACS is the defending champions for the Open Grade, while Suva Grammar are defending Boys Open Grade champion.
The Fiji Secondary Schools Netball Championship will be held next week from Monday to Wednesday at the Vodafone Arena and National Netball Centre in Suva.
