The Inaugural FinanceHub Super League is set to launch its first round on May 27th, marking the beginning of a six-weeks competition period.
The Super League features the top six district teams from Tailevu, Nasinu, Suva, Nadroga, Nadi, and Lautoka competing for the coveted title of FinanceHub Super League Champion.
The six netball associations continue to engage their local clubs in intense weekly competitions, aiming to fill a highly competitive team ahead of the Super League.
Netball Fiji CEO Vivian Koster added that Netball Fiji is focused on growing the number of competitions in the country, with a key consideration being the need for more elite-level competition to better prepare athletes for international tests.
“Netball Fiji has set out to grow the number of competitions in the country, a key consideration has been the need for more elite level competition for our athletes to better prepare them for international tests, the FinanceHub Super League is part of that vision,” said Koster.
She explained that the FinanceHub Super League is part of the vision, engaging local players in a weekly, highly competitive netball tournament where they can develop their game and earn a spot in the National squad.
“The FinanceHub Super League will provide another platform for athletes to earn a call up into the national team,” said Koster.
With the tournament set to commence shortly, there’s a palpable excitement in the air as competing teams looks forward to an exhilarating six-week competition period.
