NewsFiji Pearls gear up for Pacific Aus Sport Series opener

The highly anticipated PacificAus Sports Series is finally here, and the Fiji Pearls are geared up to make a splash as they prepare to take on Malawi, currently ranked sixth in the world.

The African team is one of three debutants in this year’s tournament, adding an element of high intensity to the competition.

With the Pearls’ recent match against Malawi dating back to 2018, both teams will be looking to make a statement in their opening match at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre. The pressure is on for the Fiji Pearls, who will be eager to showcase their skills and make a strong start to the tournament.

But the competition doesn’t stop there for the Pearls, who will face Samoa in their second pool game, before taking on Papua New Guinea in their final match of the pool stage. As the tournament progresses, the intensity will only continue to build, and it will be exciting to see how the Fiji Pearls rise to the occasion.

The PacificAus Sports Series promises to be an exhilarating six-day event, with the Opening Ceremony set to kick off on Sunday 23 April.
