Baby Pearls head coach Simone Nalatu has selected one of the experience player Nina Nakula to lead the Baby Pearls team to the Netball World Youth Cup in Gibraltar this month.
Nalatu said that the leadership was chosen based on core values established since 2024 and reinforced throughout the 2024-25 campaign.
Australian based Solei Toganivalu will be the vice-captain, both players has debuted for the Fiji Pearls and played in this year’s PacificAus Sports Netball Series in Brisbane.
“These core values included: Communication, Unity, Punctuality & Reliability, High Performance Behaviours, Pride, and Integrity,” said coach Nalatu.
“These values guided a team-wide (players and staff) vote, highlighting individuals who consistently embody the standards we strive to uphold both on and off the court.”
“We are pleased to announce that at the conclusion of this process Nina Leisaku Nakula has been selected as Captain and our Vice- Captain will be Solei Toganivalu.”
