Fiji Men’s invitational side played a total of ten round robin matches at the 2025 Australia Men’s and Mix Netball National Championships.
At the end of the round robin pool matches, our invitational team finished in third place on the Reserve & U23 category behind Victoria U23 who was in first place and Queensland U23 in second place.
However, Fiji Men’s Invitational did not advance to the semifinals, as the team was an invitational side and, according to the championship’s terms of participation, was not eligible to compete in the Finals.
Out of their 10 matches played, Fiji Men’s invitational won 7 games and lost three in an intense encounter at the 1-week tournament that was held at the State Netball Centre, Parkville (State Sport Centers, Parkville), Brens Drive, Parkville in Melbourne.
Fiji Mens Invitational head coach Jioweli Vakamoce said that “this tournament is a critical part of our roadmap to the Fiji Men’s International in August, and it will help us assess where we are and what we need to sharpen before then.”
“We are glad that we were able to experience the intensity and Australian style of netball throughout the 1 week of intense competition.”
Vakamoce added that the AMMNA Championships attract some of the best male and mixed netball talent in Australia.
“Our participation underscores the growing strength and depth of men’s netball in the Pacific.”
