A three day Finance Workshop followed by a two day Leadership Workshop was held last week in Brisbane, Australia where Netball Federation leaders and staff from PNG, Samoa, Fiji, and Tonga attended.
Netball Fiji staff including CEO Vivian Koster, Finance Administrator Amit Singh and Logistics and Administration Coordinator Kinisalote Drasuna attended the 3 days workshop.
The workshop was an introduction to a finance software system that will make finance governance easier for the netball federations, while the Leadership workshop allowed the CEOs of the federations to discuss current and future plans for the sport.
The workshops are part of a long-term Netball development programme under Netball Australia and the Australian government’s Pacific Aus Sport Partnership.
CEO Vivian Koster said, “The finance software is an exciting addition to Netball Fiji. It will make the administration of our finances even more sound and efficient”.
“In addition, the Leadership workshop provided the CEO’s the opportunity to share achievements and challenges the sport faces. It also provided an opportunity to plan for the future movement in the sport in the region”, Koster added.
The workshops are an effective strategy by Netball Australia and PacificAus Sports program to strengthen partners in the region and make netball stronger overall.
The three days intensive workshops concluded on Thursday 10th October 2024
