Nadi Goal Shooter Karalaini Nasigavuki has been displaying some impressive performance in the past rounds of the FinanceHub Super League competition.
Karalaini is thankful to be part of the Nadi team in the FinanceHub Super League, the 19-year-old said that she aims to represent Fiji at the Youth World Cup next year adding that playing in the Super League will provide her with the opportunity to make her dream come true.
“I want be part of National 21&U squad to the Youth World Cup next year, I want to represent my Country and also my Vanua Nadi at the World Stage,” Said Karalaini.
“I’m very thankful that our Vanua team, Nadi is part of the Super League this year, being part of the team will give me the opportunity to contest for a spot in the National 21&U team.”
The 19-year-old hails from Namotomoto, Nadi and is a first-year student at Fiji National University studying Diploma in Customs.
Karalaini started her Netball journey early in Primary School, she continued playing netball in High School and was also part of the ACS U19 team in the Fiji Secondary Schools Final last year.
“I started my Netball Journey in Primary School in Namaka Public, I felt in love with Netball back in Primary School, I continued my Netball when I went on to Secondary Schools in Adi Cakobau School. I played from U14 up to U18 last year.”
The Namotomoto lass explained that netball has taught her some key values that is crucial for her on court and off court as well.
“To me one thing special about Netball is communication, on court off court during training, Netball is something that teach us values like team work, communicating with each other, it creates memories that’ll last forever, and builds bond among players, that’s what I love about Netball.
