The Fifth Round of the FinanceHub Super League featured three out of the four scheduled matches, as the Suva vs. Lautoka match was postponed due to the Suva Swifts IGA having their club competition playoffs last weekend.
The first match of Round Five was between the Tailevu Doves and Baby Pearls Kacau at the Vodafone Arena, Hall A. The Tailevu Doves started off strong, but Team Kacau built momentum later in the rounds and continued to control the tempo, ending the game with a 50-33 victory.
Nasinu Tactix bagged another Win over a determined Nadi team in their 5th Round Clash at the Lautoka Multipurpose Court. Nasinu was well structured with their play while the Nadi team was bringing on elevation and speed to the match, the team came on strong into the match while a few conceded errors led Nasinu to capitalise and claim the win 61-31.
In the last match at the FNU Gymnasium, Baby Pearls Kikau overcame a strong Nadroga Stallions to add another Win to their Finance Hub Super League Campaign.
The Suva Swifts IGA still lead the points table with 12 points, followed closely by the Nasinu Tactix, also with 12 points but with a slight points difference. The Lautoka Stars are in third place with 9 points, while Baby Pearls Kikau and Kacau both share 9 points, sitting in 4th and 5th place respectively. The Nadroga Stallions and Tailevu Doves are tied at 6th place with 3 points each, while Nadi is in eighth place.
