Netball Fiji is responsible for the leadership, development and provision of netball opportunities across Fiji.
Netball Fiji is seeking a dynamic Sport Development Coordinator to join its team. This is a full-time position based at the Netball Fiji head office in Suva.
Key responsibilities
- Build the capacity of the “grass roots” structures of Netball Fiji to support delivery of development programs, including through running training sessions and accrediting coaches and umpires.
- Implement playing, coaching and officiating pathways to increase participation in netball at all levels.
- Develop an annual calendar of events for targeted communications with stakeholders.
- Liaise with tournament organisers and delegations as required.
Qualifications, experience and skills required
- Fiji resident
- A Degree in Business Management or related field
- Proven event and program management experience including attention to deadlines
- Knowledge of grassroots netball and development in and around Fiji
- Netball coaching and accreditation and experience in presenting courses
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge with Microsoft packages
- Organizational and administrative skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent people skills with the ability to elicit cooperation
- Experience in working independently and as an integral part of a team.
- Must hold a current driver’s license.
Some domestic and international travel is expected.
This is a full-time position for a term of 3 years.
