Netball Fiji is seeking expressions of interest from individuals to be coach of the national 21& Under team, and manager for the National 21 & Under team.
The coach will be an experienced, accredited and passionate high performance professional.
A suitable candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience working with elite athletes and coaches, including devising and implementing successful programs,
- Knowledge and understanding of the high performance requirements for athletes to aspire to and succeed at the highest international level.
- Coached age-grade athletes
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and report writing skills;
- Good inter-personal skills
- Good time management and organizational skills;
- The ability to work under minimum supervision.
Expressions of Interest must be written and outline the following:
– Levels of netball coaching accreditation;
– Number of years coaching in a high performance environment
– Number of years coaching age-grade athletes – 17U and above
– Sports specific professional development programmes undertaken
– General professional development courses undertaken

The manager role is voluntary. It provides opportunity for suitable applicants to experience managing in a high-performance team culture environment. The team manager will be expected to travel domestically and internationally depending on the team’s competition schedule.
A suitable candidate will have:
1. Relevant experience in managing a sports team, preferably netball.
2. Experience in administration and finance.
3. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and report writing skills;
4. Good inter-personal skills
5. Good time management and organizational skills;
6. The ability to work under minimum supervision.
The Manager’s Key Responsibilities are:
- Assisting the Coach to ensure that Squad/Team members are competition-ready;
- Handling all financial, administrative and logistical matters of the Team;
- Handling communication between the team and Netball Fiji;
- Fostering and promoting a culture of team work;
- Providing leadership and direction to the team;
- Providing mentorship and support to young athletes;
- Providing written regular updates on the team’s overall performance;
- Providing a report following every tour (local and international) or any event that the team
- participates in;
- Designing a recall and communication system for the players to ensure they are fully aware of team
- related matters at all times;
- Maintaining an inventory of all the sports/training equipment, uniforms, medical kit and other stores;
- Organizing any other duties required by the team or Netball Fiji.
