CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
This appointment is for a 12-month term, aligned with the transition period. At the end of this term, any decision to review or extend the contract will be made by the incoming Management Board.
Key Responsibilities:
The CEO will provide leadership and oversight of Netball Fiji’s day-to-day operations during the transition period,
ensuring the effective delivery of strategic priorities and operational commitments. This role will support the
implementation of the Netball Fiji Strategic Plan while also overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of
the Australian Government’s Netball’s Ocean of Power Partnership Work Plan.
The CEO will report to the Transition Oversight Committee for the duration of the transition period.
Key Requirements:
Fiji resident
A degree in Business Management or equivalent
At least five (5) years management experience with financial and commercial background.
Strong understanding of sports administration and development.
Extensive knowledge of reporting, budgeting, grant and commercial background.
Proven ability to work independently, efficiently, and with minimal supervision, especially in fast‐moving or
uncertain contexts.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide, motivate, and support staff and volunteers through periods of
structural change.
Competence in digital and social media communication.
Understanding of governance principles, and experience working with or supporting a Board, Executive, or
oversight body
Familiarity with Netball Fiji’s recent development and transition work under the new Constitution is desirable,
including an understanding of the reforms already underway.
