Fiji Pearls extended squad regroups for their first off season training last weekend as head coach Una Rokoura selects top players from 2024 FinanceHub Super League and Netball Fiji’s affiliated districts club competition.

A total of 54 players were selected into the Fiji Pearls extended squad. The players took to the gym on Saturday morning where they underwent strength test at the Fiji Rugby HPU Gym, they later went to USP Gymnasium where they had a fitness yoyo test.

Coach Rokoura explained that this is the first phase of the Pearls off season preparation campaign.

“This is our first phase of our off season preparation, we just wanted to bring everyone in to test their fitness after a long netball season, we wanted to see everyone’s level of strength and fitness before we commence with our five weeks training leading up to the PacificAus Sport series next year.”

The extended squad will continue their preparation in the next five weeks where team management will also continue with their selection process.
