The Fiji 21&U Rising Stars Tour concluded on a high note on Friday, 23rd August, after an exciting one-week tournament.

This tour marked the first opportunity for the young athletes to gain international experience playing as a squad.

The Baby Pearls squad was up against a strong competition including the Australian 21&U, headed by former Fiji Pearls specialist coach Cathy Fellowes, the New Zealand 21/U squad, led by Head Coach Julie Seymour, as well as Singapore’s 21/U Squad, headed by Yeo Mee Hong.

The event serves as a preparation platform for the competing teams as they work towards next year’s NWYC.

The four countries went head-to-head in match play across the week from 19 – 23rd August, the matches foster international connections and prepare players for elite competition.

Athletes also took part in community engagement and cultural exchanges across the week working alongside each other on community centered activities including engagement with local schools.
