The first round of the Finance Hub Super League competition began earlier today at the FMF Gymnasium in Laucala Bay, Suva.
Round one started off with the Nasinu Gold taking on the Capital Force Suva. The Capital Force Suva build the momentum early into the first quarter, controlling the game with their swift play finishing off with a 95 – 43 win.
In the second game, the Lautoka Stars delivered an impressive performance, overpowering the newcomer Naitasiri Highlanders with a resounding 78-28 win. Although the Highlanders showed composure in the first quarter, the clinical play of the Lautoka Stars overwhelmed their defense, allowing Lautoka to capitalize on their advantage.
In the final game, the Ra Roosters celebrated a sweet victory as they upset the Nadroga Stallions with a final score of 55-27. The Roosters’ exceptional defense and fast-paced play proved instrumental in their triumph.
Looking ahead, the second round of the Finance Hub Super League will take place at the Lautoka Multipurpose Court on the upcoming weekend of June 3rd.
