Netball Fiji invites suitably experienced and qualified individuals to apply for the position of Team Manager for its National Team, the Fiji Pearls.
Job brief
This voluntary role provides opportunities for suitable applicants to experience managing in a high-performance team culture environment. The team manager will be expected to travel both domestically and internationally depending on the Fiji Pearls competition schedule.
Key responsibilities
• Assisting the National Coach to ensure that the National Team members are competition-ready;
• Handling all financial, administrative and logistical matters of the National Team;
• Handling communication between the team and Netball Fiji;
• Ensuring that necessary and qualified expertise required for preparation of players are sought and integrated into the training program
• Fostering and promoting a culture of team work;
• Providing leadership and direction to the team;
• Providing written regular updates on the team’s overall performance;
• Providing a report following every tour (local and international) or any event that the national team participates in;
• Designing a recall and communication system for the players to ensure they are fully aware of team related matters at all times;
• Maintaining an inventory of all the sports/training equipment, uniforms, medical kit and other stores making sure that they are training and competition ready and are in good order/condition;
• Organizing any other duties required by the team or Netball Fiji.
Qualifications, experience and skills required
· Relevant experience in sports management, mentoring, administration and finance.
· Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and report writing skills;
· Good inter-personal skills
· Good time management and organizational skills;
· The ability to work under minimum supervision;
